Ow, Sr., the founder of the Ow Family businesses in the New
Monterey Market, Monterey, December 1956. Mr. Ow is now retired,
and his children, under the leadership of son, George Ow, Jr.,
continue to manage the family enterprises, including the Capitola
Book Company.

Capitola Book Company
We are
a small, independent press located in Capitola, California. Capitola
is a small community located on Monterey Bay east of Santa Cruz. The
Capitola Book Company is an outgrowth of the Ow family businesses that
moved from Monterey to Capitola in the early 1960s. We strive to publish
books that reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of the Monterey
Bay Region.
